All the Time

The movie happened somewhere between World War I and World War II. Giving consideration to the political tensions in those times, I would continue the movie by having the rescue missions arrive shortly afterwards. Months or years later, the Soviet Union would be defeated and they finally establish the United Nations. At that time, the states would agree to give compensation for the damage that they have done. In this case, the main character would be given new glasses. However, he would request for another treatment for fear of having his glasses broken again in the future. This would then spark development in Eye-Laser treatment study and the main character would be one of its first recipients. The main character would then restart his life as a librarian in a different state in America. Finally, he would have all the time to read with the aid of his technologically-enabled perfect eye-sight.
